
Beijing, June 12: Zhang Guoqing, a member of the Central Politburo of the Chinese Communist Party and Vice Premier of China, participated in the “Global Convergence Summit for Development” via video link and delivered a speech.
Zhang emphasized that the four global initiatives proposed by Chinese President Xi Jinping provide guidance and encouragement for promoting world peace and development. He stated that prioritizing development is essential, alongside improving global governance to foster inclusive growth in the world economy.
He urged the need to maintain openness and cooperation, objectively assess the comparative advantages of different countries, create a free and convenient trade environment, and practice genuine multilateralism. Zhang noted that China is continuously expanding its high-level openness and will continue to share development opportunities with various nations, aiming to bring more certainty and stability to the global economy.
It is noteworthy that the “Global Convergence Summit for Development” was hosted by France and chaired by French President Emmanuel Macron.
