Pune, August 11: A shocking incident of gang rape has emerged from the Dak Bungalow in Talasari, located in Maharashtra’s Palghar district. The victim, a young woman, is reportedly accompanied by her boyfriend, who is now under suspicion.
According to the FIR filed at the Talasari police station, the 19-year-old victim visited Umar village beach with her boyfriend on August 9. On their way back, their two-wheeler slipped and fell near Talasari. At that moment, three individuals on a motorcycle approached them. Instead of offering help, they threatened the boyfriend, forcing him to leave the scene. They then called two more accomplices and took the victim to a nearby deserted Dak Bungalow, where they gang-raped her.
Following the victim’s complaint, the Talasari police registered the FIR. After an investigation, four suspects have been arrested so far, while the search for two additional suspects continues. The boyfriend’s involvement is under scrutiny, as he is acquainted with one of the accused. His role in the incident raises questions, especially since he did not inform the police that the victim had been taken away by the assailants after he was threatened.
Currently, the police have identified and arrested four suspects, and they are actively investigating the boyfriend’s potential involvement. Efforts to locate the remaining two suspects are ongoing, along with further actions in the case.
