Y.S. Jagan Urges YSRCP Workers to Prepare for Local Body Elections

Amaravati, August 20: Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the president of the YSR Congress Party and former Chief Minister, has called on party workers to gear up for the upcoming local body elections in Andhra Pradesh.

He emphasized that the party should work with the goal of achieving a significant victory, as the coalition government has failed on all fronts. Many citizens feel deceived, and the law and order situation is deteriorating rapidly.

Addressing local leaders and key workers from the Rajahmundry rural assembly constituency at the party’s central office in Tadepalli, he stated that preparations for the elections should be made with a singular focus on winning.

Jagan pointed out that public discontent is high due to the coalition government’s betrayal, and no section of society is satisfied under Chandrababu Naidu’s rule.

He warned that the coalition might misuse police forces to suppress this public outrage during the local body elections. However, YSRCP leaders and workers must be ready to face every challenge and fight with determination.

The former Chief Minister claimed that the YSRCP enjoys tremendous support from the public. If leaders and workers remain connected with the people, the party will undoubtedly succeed. He urged workers to engage consistently with the public and prepare for the grassroots electoral battle.

Jagan criticized the deteriorating law and order situation in the state, highlighting the unchecked activities of sand, soil, and liquor mafias.

He noted that the situation has become so dire that even police officers have been caught transporting marijuana. He suggested that conspiracies are being devised to distract the public from such incidents.

Referring to a recent incident in Rajahmundry, Jagan mentioned the brutal murder of postgraduate medical student Dr. Priyanka, who was repeatedly hit by a car. He alleged attempts to suppress the case and prevent it from coming to light, accusing police and ruling party leaders of colluding dangerously.
