(Udaipur Kiran News): Xiaomi has released the first official images of its upcoming Xiaomi 17 series, offering a detailed look at the design of its next flagship smartphones ahead of their launch in China on September 25. Notably, the company has skipped the “16” branding, moving directly from the Xiaomi 15 to the 17 series, reportedly to align with Apple’s upcoming iPhone 17 lineup.

The Xiaomi 17 series will include the Xiaomi 17, Xiaomi 17 Pro, and Xiaomi 17 Pro Max, all powered by Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, which is expected to deliver performance and AI-driven improvements. The official renders highlight several design changes across the models.
Xiaomi 17
The standard Xiaomi 17, revealed in white and sky blue, comes without the secondary display found on the Pro models. Instead, it introduces a redesigned camera island with a softer, rounded-square design and individual lenses that protrude slightly—reminiscent of Apple’s recent iPhones.
It features a 6.3-inch flat display with ultra-slim 1.18mm bezels and a 19.6:9 aspect ratio. At just 191 grams, Xiaomi says it has been built to remain lightweight and comfortable for everyday use.
Xiaomi 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max
The Xiaomi 17 Pro appears in “Cold Smoke Purple,” while the Pro Max is shown in “Forest Green.” Both models adopt completely flat displays, moving away from last year’s micro-quad curved design. Their corners also mirror the more rounded look of the base model.
On the rear, the Pro versions integrate Xiaomi’s signature “Magic Back Screen” into the camera module. This small secondary display supports notifications, selfie previews, clocks, and more. Two lenses protrude slightly from the surface, while the third lens sits flush with the back panel.
As with previous flagships, Xiaomi continues its partnership with Leica for camera tuning. More details on battery specifications, HyperOS 3 software, and international availability are expected at the official launch.
