
Beijing, July 28: Chinese President Xi Jinping recently issued significant directives regarding the affairs of overseas Chinese, emphasizing their role in building a powerful nation and achieving national revival.
He stated that since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC), departments handling overseas Chinese matters have made substantial contributions. They have united overseas Chinese, returnees, and their families to enhance national economic and social development, preserve and promote Chinese culture, and foster exchanges and cooperation between China and other countries.
Xi highlighted the need for a new campaign guided by the socialist ideology with Chinese characteristics. He urged a comprehensive implementation of the party’s policies concerning overseas Chinese, focusing on uniting their strengths. This collective effort aims to bolster the unified struggle of Chinese people at home and abroad, gathering immense power for the modernization of China and the great national revival.
It is noteworthy that the National Work Conference on Overseas Chinese Affairs took place in Beijing from July 27 to 28, where Xi’s important directives were announced.
