
Doddballapur, September 17 (Daily Kiran) : In a tragic incident in Doddballapur, near Bengaluru, a 23-year-old woman was allegedly murdered by her husband. The police reported that the suspect, Anand, is currently on the run after the incident on September 17.
The victim, identified as Vidya from Nagaregere village in the Gauribidanur taluk, was reportedly strangled using a tag from an identification card. Following the murder, Anand is said to have fled the scene with Vidya’s mobile phone.
Vidya and Anand had been married for about four years and have a son. They were residing in a rented home in Gandhinagar, Doddballapur. However, the couple had been facing family disputes for the last six months. Approximately two months ago, Vidya separated from Anand and began living in a paying guest accommodation in Bengaluru.
Anand had previously filed a missing person report at the Doddballapur women’s police station regarding Vidya. The police located her about 20 days ago and facilitated counseling for the couple, after which she returned to live with Anand.
On Wednesday, Anand reportedly took Vidya to a lodging in Doddballapur, where he allegedly committed the murder before escaping.
The police have registered a case at the Doddballapur Town Police Station and are actively searching for Anand. Authorities hope to uncover the circumstances and motives behind the tragic incident once he is apprehended.
