Tragic Shooting in Bokaro Claims Lives of Couple, Son Seriously Injured

Bokaro, September 17 (Daily Kiran) : In a tragic incident in Bokaro, Jharkhand, gunmen stormed a home in Chandrapura on Thursday night, unleashing a barrage of gunfire that left a couple dead and their son critically injured. The attack sent shockwaves through the community, prompting an immediate police investigation.

The shooting occurred in the DVC Colony area of Western Tola, where 65-year-old Naresh Sinha and his wife were killed on the spot. Their son, Rohit, sustained severe injuries and was rushed to a nearby hospital. Due to the seriousness of his condition, he was later referred to Bokaro General Hospital, where he is currently receiving treatment.

According to police reports, the attackers entered Naresh Sinha’s home and opened fire on the family. Following the assault, they fled the scene. The motive behind the attack remains unclear at this time. Upon receiving news of the incident, DSP Ravindra Kumar Singh from Beramo and local police arrived at the scene to secure the area and gather evidence.

Authorities are working to determine the number of assailants and the route they used to enter the home. DSP Singh stated that the investigation is being taken seriously, but it is premature to speculate on the motive for the murders. The police are conducting interviews with family members, relatives, and neighbors, exploring various potential motives, including old grudges, property disputes, and robbery.
