Tarouba, August 13 (Kiran News). West Indies defeated Pakistan by a massive 203-run margin in the third and final ODI on Tuesday, sealing a 2-1 series win — their first ODI series victory over Pakistan in 34 years. The victory margin was also the Caribbean side’s biggest ever against Pakistan in ODIs.

Fast bowler Jayden Seales was the star of the match, claiming 6 wickets for just 8.2 overs, equalling the second-best bowling figures by a West Indies bowler in men’s ODIs. Captain Shai Hope played a crucial unbeaten knock of 100, rescuing his team from a slow start.
Batting first, West Indies struggled to accelerate in the initial 43 overs and were yet to cross 200. However, in the 44th over, Hope hit two consecutive sixes off Mohammad Nawaz, triggering a late surge. Hope and Justin Greaves added 100 runs in the final 7 overs, taking the total to 294/5.
Chasing 295, Pakistan suffered a disastrous start as Seales removed Saim Ayub and Abdullah Shafique for ducks. He then bowled Mohammad Rizwan and trapped Babar Azam lbw, reducing Pakistan to 23/4. The middle order offered little resistance, with Gudakesh Motie and Roston Chase keeping the pressure on. Seales returned to dismiss Naseem Shah and Hasan Ali before a run-out ended Pakistan’s innings at 92.
With this win, West Indies not only clinched the series but also ended their decades-long drought against Pakistan in ODI series.
