The star of the match was Ravi Bishnoi, who not only led his team to victory but also reached a significant milestone by claiming his 200th wicket in T20 cricket.
Bishnoi proved to be an enigma for the GT batsmen, who struggled to read his spinning deliveries. In his four-over spell, he conceded 41 runs while taking four crucial wickets. This marked the first time in his IPL career that he achieved four wickets in a single match. His performance included the dismissal of Rahul Tewatia, which allowed him to reach the milestone of 200 T20 wickets. Bishnoi became the 19th Indian bowler and the 9th spinner to achieve this feat.
Batting first after winning the toss, Rajasthan Royals scored 210 runs for the loss of six wickets in their 20 overs. Dhruv Jurel was the standout performer with the bat, scoring a powerful 75 runs off 42 balls. Yashasvi Jaiswal contributed significantly with 55 runs from 36 balls, while Vaibhav Suryaanshi added 31 runs off 18 balls.
Chasing a target of 211 runs, Gujarat Titans managed to score 204 runs but lost eight wickets in the process. Sai Sudharsan was the top scorer for GT, making 73 runs off 44 balls, which included nine fours and three sixes. Other notable contributions came from Jos Buttler with 26 runs, Rashid Khan with 24, and Kagiso Rabada with 23 runs. With this win, Rajasthan Royals secured their second consecutive victory in IPL 2026, while Gujarat Titans faced their second straight defeat of the season. The Royals now sit at the top of the points table.
