Agartala, April 5: Tripura’s Chief Minister Manik Saha urged citizens on Saturday to avoid “misleading messages” and join the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in a timely manner. He asserted that the public is ready to establish a ‘Triple Engine Government’ in the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC).
Elections for the 30-member TTAADC, which comprises 28 elected members and two appointed by the state government, are scheduled for April 12.
Addressing an election rally in the Ganganagar-Gandachhara assembly constituency of Dhalai district, Saha stated, “We must come together to create a new Tripura.”
He noted that public trust in Prime Minister Narendra Modi is steadily increasing. “Wherever I go, people are joining under the BJP flag. Today, 710 voters from 251 families have joined the party at this rally. I welcome them; you have made the right decision at the right time,” he added.
The Chief Minister appealed to those associated with the TIPRA Motha Party (TMP) and other parties, especially the youth, not to be misled.
He emphasized, “Those in TMP or other parties, particularly the youth, should not be misguided. Our double-engine government is progressing towards the 2047 goal. Stay away from those spreading false messages and join the BJP in a timely manner.”
Saha mentioned that Prime Minister Modi speaks of ‘New India,’ and the state is working towards creating a ‘New Tripura’ in that direction. He concluded, “Development must reach every section—caste, tribe, and Manipuri minorities—and infrastructure must be strengthened for a new Tripura and a developed India.”
