Lucknow, May 25: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has announced the initiation of weekly grievance sessions at each development block level to address various public complaints. These sessions will provide immediate solutions to common issues such as revenue disputes, domestic violence, illegal extortion, and police complaints that are not registered at the local level. Additionally, eligible individuals who have been deprived of government welfare schemes will also be assisted through these sessions.
During a video conferencing meeting focused on law and order and administrative review, the Chief Minister emphasized that the government’s priority is to ensure timely, transparent, and satisfactory resolution of public issues. He instructed that a detailed Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) will be issued from the government level for the operation of these sessions, ensuring quality resolution of every application and complaint. The presence of district-level officials will be mandatory at these sessions.
CM Yogi firmly directed officials to take all complaints received through the Integrated Grievance Redressal System (IGRS) and the CM Helpline seriously. He stressed that each complaint should be addressed with utmost seriousness, ensuring that victims receive real relief rather than mere formal resolutions.
In light of the upcoming Ganga Dussehra and Bakrid festivals, the Chief Minister instructed for heightened vigilance. He clearly stated that animal sacrifices will not be permitted in public places during Bakrid, and there will be a complete ban on the sacrifice of prohibited animals. Each district must ensure a planned waste disposal system after sacrifices, with a ban on open meat sales and illegal slaughterhouses operating in any form. Legal slaughterhouses must not exceed their designated capacity.
The Chief Minister emphasized the need for special vigilance regarding electricity supply, cleanliness, and security during the festivals. Flag marches should be conducted in sensitive areas before the festivals, and continuous foot patrols by police forces should be ensured around religious sites.
During the meeting, CM Yogi communicated with district magistrates and police chiefs from sensitive districts such as Aligarh, Bijnor, Saharanpur, Rampur, and Sambhal. He instructed them to analyze past incidents to prepare a list of potential troublemakers and ensure necessary preventive actions. Regular communication with peace committees at the police station, tehsil, and district levels was also mandated.

He stated that the safety and convenience of devotees should be the top priority, especially considering the rising temperatures.
The Chief Minister took a firm stance on road safety and illegal mining during the meeting. He called for a campaign against vehicles without license plates and instructed the formation of a task force to take strict action against illegal mining. He made it clear that actions should be taken under a zero-tolerance policy without yielding to any pressure or recommendations, ensuring that ordinary citizens are not harassed in the name of investigations.
CM Yogi directed for intensified action against land mafia, ensuring that no individual’s legal rights are affected. He also requested immediate appointments in districts lacking a Chief Medical Officer.
