Vigilante Slain by Smugglers in Mathura: One Arrested

Mumbai, March 21: In a shocking incident in Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, a well-known vigilante, Chandrashekhar, was killed by smugglers who ran him over with a vehicle. The police have registered a case and arrested one suspect, while efforts are underway to apprehend the remaining culprits.

According to reports, Chandrashekhar, popularly known as “Farsa Wale Baba,” was pursuing suspected smugglers in the Braj region when the tragic incident occurred near the Navipur village of the Kosi Kalan police station area.

Police officials stated that Chandrashekhar had received information about smuggling activities and immediately set out on his motorcycle to chase the suspects. It is reported that when he attempted to stop the smugglers’ vehicle, the accused deliberately swerved their vehicle towards him at high speed. The collision left him critically injured, and he succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

The incident has caused widespread panic in the area, leading to significant outrage among local residents. Upon receiving the report, police quickly arrived at the scene and initiated action. They successfully apprehended one suspect on-site, while three others managed to escape under the cover of darkness.

Authorities mentioned that they are interrogating the arrested suspect and have formed multiple teams to locate the fleeing assailants. Additionally, checkpoints have been established in surrounding areas to ensure the swift capture of the suspects.

They confirmed that the search for the remaining suspects is ongoing, and no one involved will be spared. This incident has sparked a wave of grief and anger not only in Mathura but throughout the Braj region. Local residents and cow protection organizations are demanding stringent action against the perpetrators. The police have assured that all guilty parties will be apprehended and face severe legal consequences.
