Delhi Police Arrests Suspect for Posting AI-Generated Image of PM Modi

New Delhi, March 21: The Special Cell of the Delhi Police has apprehended a man from Bihar for allegedly posting an AI-generated image of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The suspect has been identified as Siddhnath Kumar, who was arrested in the Kurtha area of Arwal district, Bihar.

The investigation was assigned to the Intelligence Fusion and Strategic Operations (IFSO) unit of the Delhi Police. According to officials, Siddhnath Kumar posted an objectionable AI-generated photo of PM Modi on social media. He reportedly managed multiple social media accounts to disseminate this image online.

The investigation began following a complaint received by the Delhi Police. The IFSO unit tracked the suspect’s location based on the social media post. Acting swiftly, the team raided his village and took him into custody from his home in Maulanachak village.

It is claimed that the image was created with the intent to mislead the public and disrupt public order. Officials stated that the suspect used AI tools to generate images that appeared convincingly real to unsuspecting users. In addition to the allegations concerning the images of PM Modi, the Delhi Police also accused the suspect of facilitating access to banned online games.

Currently, after being detained in Bihar, the suspect is being transported to New Delhi for further questioning. He will be interrogated at the Special Cell office located in Lodhi Colony. The Special Cell is actively investigating the case to determine whether there was any financial motive behind this activity or if a larger network was involved.
