Vice President JD Vance to Lead US-Iran Negotiations in Islamabad

New Delhi, April 9: The White House has announced that Vice President JD Vance will lead negotiations with Iran in Islamabad following a two-week ceasefire. White House Press Secretary Carolyn Levitt stated that this achievement is a victory for the United States, made possible by President Donald Trump and the American military.

During a press briefing, Levitt credited the success of “Operation Epic Fury” to President Trump and the armed forces. She emphasized that the ceasefire marks a significant win for the United States.

Levitt provided details about the upcoming meeting in Pakistan, where Vice President Vance will represent the US in discussions with Iran. She noted that President Trump initiated “Operation Epic Fury” with strategic military objectives, which the United States has successfully achieved.

In her remarks, Levitt honored the sacrifice of 13 American soldiers who lost their lives during “Operation Epic Fury.” She expressed that as progress continues, the nation remembers these heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice. President Trump and the grateful nation will always honor their memory, she added.

The Pentagon reported that during “Operation Epic Fury,” the US targeted over 13,000 locations, marking it as a significant military campaign that resulted in the loss of 13 soldiers. Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Air Force General Dan Keen, highlighted the scale of the operation, noting that American forces have targeted more than 13,000 objectives since the onset of hostilities.

Among these targets, over 4,000 emerged unexpectedly during the conflict and were swiftly engaged through an advanced command-and-control system. The operation involved more than 10,000 missions, including 62 bomber flights, some of which took over 30 hours to complete from the US to Iran and back.

Keen asserted that no other military in the world could achieve such a feat, showcasing America’s logistical capabilities.
