New Delhi, June 7: Prominent leaders from Uttarakhand’s BJP are voicing their support for Keshav Negi, the chef arrested by Delhi police in connection with the Malviya Nagar fire incident. Former Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat and BJP MP Anil Baluni have engaged in discussions with the Delhi Police Commissioner regarding the case. Rawat stated that they stand ready to provide Negi with all possible legal assistance and ensure he receives justice.
In a social media post, Rawat expressed his concerns about Negi’s arrest, stating, “We have spoken with senior officials of the Delhi Police regarding the arrest of Keshav Negi from our Devbhoomi, Uttarakhand, in the Malviya Nagar fire incident. We have requested a fair, thorough, and transparent investigation to uncover the truth and prevent injustice to any innocent individual.”
Rawat further emphasized, “We will stand by Keshav Negi in our efforts to provide him with all possible legal support and justice.”
He added, “The people of Devbhoomi, Uttarakhand, are known for their honesty, hard work, and values both in the country and abroad. We have complete faith in the justice system. The guilty should be punished, but justice must prevail for the innocent. We are always committed to upholding the honor of Devbhoomi and the truth.”
