New Delhi, September 6 (Daily Kiran) : The dream of securing a government job remains alive for millions of young people in India. For those aspiring for such opportunities, a significant announcement has been made. The application deadline for the Assistant Provident Fund Commissioner (APFC) positions is set for September 11, 2026.
The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has issued a short notification for direct recruitment to fill 80 vacancies under the Employees’ Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) within the Ministry of Labour and Employment.
The 80 vacancies include 29 for General category, 8 for Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), 18 for Other Backward Classes (OBC), 15 for Scheduled Castes (SC), and 10 for Scheduled Tribes (ST). Additionally, 3 positions are reserved for candidates with disabilities.
The online application process will commence on August 22 and will close on September 11. Eligible candidates wishing to apply for these positions can complete their registration on the official UPSC website once the application link is activated.
Applicants must hold at least a graduation degree from a recognized institution or university. The maximum age limit for candidates is set at 35 years, calculated as of the application deadline. However, candidates from reserved categories will receive age relaxation as per government regulations.
Selection will be based on a review of applications, interviews, document verification, and a medical fitness test. Selected candidates will receive a salary in accordance with the 7th Central Pay Commission, classified under Level-10 of the pay matrix.
While filling out the application, candidates must pay the prescribed application fee online. The fee is set at ₹25 for male candidates in the General/OBC/EWS categories, while SC/ST/PWD candidates and women are exempt from the registration fee.
