The Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) has announced the Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET-2025) results on Tuesday. Candidates can check their UP PET Result and Score Card on the official website https://upsssc.gov.in. The PET score will remain valid for three years. Following the result declaration, the recruitment process for Group ‘C’ vacant posts will begin, as informed by Secretary Avnish Saxena.
The examination was conducted on 6th and 7th September across 1,479 centres in 48 districts of the state. A total of 25,31,996 candidates registered for the exam, out of which 19,43,171 appeared. The results were approved in a meeting chaired by UPSSSC Chairman S.N. Sabat.
The UP PET Score is also available on the commission’s official mobile app. During the exam, 41 candidates were disqualified for filling incorrect question booklet numbers on their OMR sheets; their applications were cancelled, and their result status is marked as ‘Cancel’. Additionally, 517 candidates have been granted temporary admission to the written exam under certain conditions, with their score cards showing ‘Temporary Permission’. Forty-four candidates have been flagged for ‘Unfair Means’ in their result status.
This screening examination will help fill thousands of Group C level vacancies in various government departments of Uttar Pradesh. After the PET result, UPSSSC will release advertisements inviting applications for the respective posts. Based on PET scores, candidates will be called for the main exam, skill test, or physical efficiency test.
The commission has received proposals for recruitment to a total of 44,778 posts. The highest number of vacancies is for Lekhpal (7,994 posts), followed by Technical Services (5,431 posts), Junior Assistants (4,582 posts), and Executive Officers (320 posts). Other posts include Fisheries Officer (105), Homeopathic Pharmacist (397), BGC Technician (255), Compounder (560), Excise Constable (564), Assistant Development Officer (545), and Assistant Boring Technician (419). Proposals have also been received for posts like Cartographer, Teacher for Visually Impaired, Workshop Superintendent, Assistant Statistical Officer, and Fisheries Inspector.
