Greater Noida, September 21 (Daily Kiran) : Preparations are in full swing for the fourth Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show (UPITS 2026), scheduled from September 25 to 29 at the India Expo Centre in Greater Noida. This event aims to establish Uttar Pradesh as a key global hub for trade, manufacturing, and exports.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath reviewed the arrangements on Sunday, emphasizing the need for international standards. He instructed officials to ensure that buyers, investors, entrepreneurs, and delegates from both India and abroad are provided with excellent facilities.
This year, delegations from six partner countries—Japan, Vietnam, Russia, Singapore, Austria, and Belarus—will participate. They will engage in premium pavilions, bilateral business sessions, and B2B meetings. Approximately 600 international buyers from 72 countries and union territories are expected to attend, coordinated through the Federation of Indian Export Organizations and Indian missions abroad.
To facilitate foreign buyers and exhibitors, the Chief Minister directed officials to arrange suitable accommodations and appoint liaison officers for the ambassadors of participating countries. Students from Gautam Buddha University and technical universities will assist delegates.
With an anticipated large turnout, CM Yogi instructed comprehensive arrangements for traffic, parking, public transport, cleanliness, security, food, and drinking water. Authorities have been asked to coordinate effectively to maintain cleanliness, law and order, and smooth traffic flow. The venue will be plastic-free, and CCTV cameras along with electric vehicle charging stations will be installed at key locations. All government departments have been instructed to prepare their stalls by September 23.
Additionally, signage, posters, and direction boards will be placed at strategic points. Telecom companies are being coordinated with to enhance network connectivity by installing additional towers and ensuring reliable internet and Wi-Fi services. Lakshmi Singh, the Police Commissioner of Gautam Buddh Nagar, updated the Chief Minister on traffic and security arrangements for the event. The routes to and from the venue have been reviewed, and adequate police presence will be deployed at entry and exit points, along with crowd management and continuous monitoring measures.
Separate parking arrangements and traffic management for visitors, exhibitors, and international representatives are also in place. Over 500 electric vehicle shuttles will operate to facilitate transit between the venue and parking areas. A special UPITS assistance counter will be available at the Noida International Airport for international delegations and VIP guests. Promotion for UPITS is being conducted through NMRC Metro, city buses, multiplex cinema screens, radio, and digital platforms.
The promotional campaign on Meta Platforms has already garnered over 13 million video views. Young volunteers from institutions like Gautam Buddha University are being deployed to assist buyers, exhibitors, and guests. District Magistrate Medha Rupam briefed the Chief Minister on ongoing grassroots and youth engagement initiatives. Coordination meetings have been held with Resident Welfare Associations, industrial organizations, schools, colleges, and district administration officials. To boost youth and student participation, activities like a digital reel challenge, Young Entrepreneur competition, and special quizzes will be organized.
