Lucknow, September 21 (Daily Kiran) : Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath of Uttar Pradesh has declared that the state is no longer just a large market and workforce but is carving out a significant identity in the global market through the talents of its youth, artisans, and entrepreneurs. He emphasized that transforming Uttar Pradesh from its previous image as a “sick state” to a vibrant “celebration state” has been a formidable challenge, yet today, it stands as a key growth engine for the country’s economy.
In a letter addressed to the citizens, the Chief Minister announced that the fourth edition of the Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show will take place from September 25 to 29 at the India Expo Mart in Greater Noida. The event aims to showcase Uttar Pradesh’s products on a global platform and to recognize the hard work of its artisans, producers, and entrepreneurs. The trade show was initiated in 2023 with this very purpose in mind.
Adityanath noted that when his government took office, one of its primary objectives was job creation. He expressed satisfaction that over four million jobs have been generated through initiatives like the MSME sector and the One District, One Product (ODOP) scheme. Inspired by this success, the government has launched new initiatives such as “One District, One Cuisine” (ODOC).
He reiterated that the challenge of changing Uttar Pradesh’s image has been significant, but the state is now a vital contributor to national economic growth, with over ₹2 lakh crore in construction investments. Entrepreneurs from across the country and abroad are eager to invest in Uttar Pradesh, with ₹15 lakh crore already committed.
Adityanath explained that large-scale investments lead to increased construction activity, creating new job opportunities that benefit the state’s residents, especially the youth. He emphasized that Uttar Pradesh’s identity is not only defined by its market and workforce but also by the skills of its youth, artisans, and entrepreneurs. The government aims for the youth to become job creators rather than mere job seekers.
To support this, initiatives like the Startup Policy 2026 and the Vishwakarma Labor Honor Scheme are providing opportunities for innovation, skill development, product creation, and market engagement. Today, Uttar Pradesh is not only promoting its products but also the entrepreneurial spirit of its youth on a global scale. The international trade show serves as a crucial platform to connect this potential with buyers, investors, and the global market.
The Chief Minister urged the youth, students, innovators, and aspiring entrepreneurs to seize this opportunity. He encouraged them to attend in large numbers, build new connections, and explore new markets that align with their talents and capabilities. He stressed the importance of recognizing available opportunities and dispelling the lack of awareness regarding entrepreneurship. Even a small effort from the youth can lay the groundwork for significant enterprises in the future.
Adityanath concluded by stating that the efforts of the youth will elevate local strengths to the global market, propelling Uttar Pradesh towards its goal of becoming a trillion-dollar economy and realizing the dream of a developed state.
