
Bhopal, June 28: Union Minister for Communications and Northeast Development, Jyotiraditya Scindia, is on a three-day visit to Guna. On Saturday, he inaugurated a badminton academy in Guna, where he played badminton with local youth, and a video of the event has gone viral.
Scindia shared the video on social media platforms like Instagram and Facebook, captioning it with a reminder that staying fit is also a part of public service.
During his visit, Scindia emphasized the need to make environmental conservation and water preservation a public movement. As a Member of Parliament from the Guna constituency in Madhya Pradesh, he participated in the ‘One Tree for Mother’ campaign initiated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, planting 700 saplings at the Kuno River source in Kanja village.
Scindia stated that environmental protection is not just an initiative but a responsibility towards future generations. He highlighted that the conservation of water, forests, and land can only be achieved through public participation, urging every citizen to play an active role in planting trees and protecting water resources.
He noted that under Prime Minister Modi‘s leadership, the ‘One Tree for Mother’ campaign is becoming a nationwide movement. This initiative symbolizes our sensitivity towards environmental conservation, motherhood, and future generations. During the program, Scindia also inaugurated a check dam in Gram Chinera, constructed at a cost of ₹17.98 lakh.
He further mentioned that building water structures and conserving water sources is the foundation for a secure and prosperous India for future generations. Scindia inaugurated a solar plant in Khutiyawad, which has a capacity of 4.5 megawatts and will produce 75 lakh units of clean energy, costing ₹20 crore. He remarked that this plant is a significant step towards achieving self-reliance and harnessing solar energy.
