Tel Aviv, May 18: Israeli media reports indicate that the country’s military is on high alert following the arrival of dozens of U.S. cargo planes carrying weapons. These developments suggest preparations for potential new attacks on Iran.
Public broadcaster Kan cited an unnamed security official stating that if the U.S. conducts new strikes against Iran, Israel may also participate, targeting Iran’s energy infrastructure.
This situation arose after a nearly 30-minute conversation between U.S. President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, where they reportedly discussed the possibility of renewed conflict in Iran.
Channel 12 reported that this discussion occurred amid preparations for renewed hostilities in Iran, prompting the Israeli military to maintain a state of heightened vigilance.
The report also mentioned that Israel expects to be informed prior to any U.S. actions, although the timing of any potential decisions remains unclear.
According to Channel 12, Trump is under pressure from various parties, including China, to pursue diplomatic solutions rather than engage in military confrontation with Iran.
Meanwhile, Israeli media have claimed that dozens of cargo planes from U.S. military bases in Germany have delivered weapons and ammunition to Tel Aviv in the last 24 hours, indicating preparations for possible new strikes against Iran.
Israeli Channel 13 reported that these U.S. cargo planes arrived with significant amounts of ammunition, part of the preparations to potentially resume hostilities against Iran.
Reports suggest that the U.S. and Israel are once again discussing military options for new attacks on Iran.
Additionally, Trump’s recent post on Truth Social, featuring an AI-generated image warning of an attack on Iran, has drawn attention. The image displayed a map of the Middle East overlaid with the U.S. flag and several red arrows pointing directly at Iran.
This image was shared without a clear caption but is interpreted as a signal of potential pressure or warning directed at Iran. Trump has previously posted several AI-generated images suggesting military action against Iran.
