New Delhi, September 20 (Daily Kiran) : BJP national spokesperson Tuhin A. Sinha recently criticized Rahul Gandhi for mimicking Prime Minister Modi, suggesting that Gandhi is struggling with an identity crisis. Sinha challenged Gandhi to clarify whether he is the Leader of the Opposition, a politician, or a stand-up comedian.
In an interview, Sinha recalled a recent incident involving Gandhi and Congress leader Sandeep Dikshit, where they made inappropriate comments during a student event in Indore. He highlighted that a comedian present at the event made disparaging remarks about PM Modi’s mother, questioning the mindset behind ridiculing someone unrelated to politics.
Sinha also referred to a past instance from 2019 when Defense Minister Nirmala Sitharaman was discussing the Rafale deal in Parliament while Gandhi was seen flying paper airplanes, indicating a lack of seriousness on his part. He stated that the country has never seen a hypocrite like Rahul Gandhi.
Addressing comments made by Congress MP Jairam Ramesh regarding the Supreme Court’s approval of the SIR, Sinha emphasized that the recent DUSU election results send a clear message that negative politics will not prevail in the country. He noted that the Supreme Court has validated the process, raising several questions during monitoring but did not label it unconstitutional.
Sinha criticized the Congress party for including deceased individuals and those who have relocated in their voter lists, questioning their trust in actual voters. He urged the Congress to support constitutional processes, warning that spreading negativity could lead to outcomes similar to those seen in the DUSU elections, where the NSUI faced setbacks.
