Lucknow, September 23 (Daily Kiran) : Uttar Pradesh‘s Deputy Chief Minister, Brajesh Pathak, has sharply criticized the Samajwadi Party (SP) and its leader, Akhilesh Yadav, in response to the SP’s recent Rath Yatra. He asserted that the people of Uttar Pradesh will never accept a party that engages in caste and Muslim appeasement politics.
In his remarks regarding the SP’s “PDA Rath Yatra,” Pathak referenced Yadav’s comment about the Rath going to fetch oil. He suggested that such statements carry deeper implications, hinting at the SP’s questionable motives.
Pathak further commented on the rivalry between the Congress and the Samajwadi Party, labeling them as a group driven by greed for power. He emphasized that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is committed to serving the public, working under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
He contrasted the governance of the SP before 2017 with the current administration, highlighting improvements in infrastructure and law and order. Pathak noted that under previous governments, Uttar Pradesh suffered from poor roads and frequent power outages, with criminals and mafia elements dominating the landscape. He insisted that voters recognize the BJP as a party for the people, while the SP focuses on vote bank politics.
Pathak also stated that law and order has significantly improved in Uttar Pradesh, citing advancements in infrastructure, education, and healthcare. He claimed that the state’s per capita income has tripled and that its GDP is on an upward trajectory, positioning Uttar Pradesh as a key growth engine for the country.
Regarding the upcoming 2027 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections, Pathak expressed confidence in the BJP’s preparedness, predicting a decisive victory.
In a related comment, Ayush Minister Dayashankar Mishra criticized Yadav’s Rath Yatra, questioning its relevance and suggesting that the public will hold the SP accountable for its actions. He noted that the SP’s limited circle of supporters does not connect with the broader society.
Pathak and Mishra participated in a bike rally in Lucknow to celebrate the 11th Ayurveda Day, where Pathak emphasized the importance of Ayurveda in daily life and encouraged its practice alongside modern medicine.
