Trump Sets Deadline for Iran, Warns of Military Action

Washington, April 7: U.S. President Donald Trump has issued a final deadline for Iran to reach an agreement, warning that significant military action will follow if negotiations fail. This decision comes amid escalating tensions in the Middle East, which could impact global energy and security.

He stated, “They have until tomorrow,” adding that the window for diplomacy is rapidly closing.

While discussions are ongoing, uncertainty remains. In a press conference, he told reporters, “We believe they are negotiating in good faith… We will know soon.”

Trump clarified that military options are still on the table. “We can hit them very hard,” he emphasized, highlighting the potential scale of U.S. action.

He also indicated that “very few things are off the table” regarding potential targets, suggesting that significant infrastructure could be attacked if Iran does not comply.

The President pointed out that ensuring a steady supply of oil is a key part of U.S. demands. “Part of that agreement will be that we want the free flow of oil and other things,” he said, referencing the strategic importance of energy routes like the Strait of Hormuz.

Trump described Iran as weakened following recent U.S. campaigns, stating, “They have no navy… They have no air force… They have no air defense system.” However, he warned that asymmetric threats still exist.

He acknowledged the uncertainty surrounding the next phase of the conflict, saying, “I can’t tell you… It depends on what they do.”

These remarks reflect a blend of pressure and diplomacy, where the U.S. seeks concessions while keeping the option for increased attacks open. Trump noted that many countries are involved in efforts to resolve this crisis. “Many people are being affected by this war.”

This situation holds significant implications for global energy markets, especially if tensions disrupt shipping through the Strait of Hormuz, a major oil supply route. Trump warned that limited actions, such as laying naval mines, could also halt traffic and create widespread economic repercussions.
