Mumbai, June 1: The web series ‘Thukra Ke Mera Pyaar,’ which debuted in 2024, has carved a niche among viewers. Now, the second season is set to make its debut. On Monday, the creators released the trailer for ‘Thukra Ke Mera Pyaar 2,’ showcasing a fresh chapter filled with love, politics, revenge, betrayal, and the struggle for power.
The trailer hints that this season’s narrative will be more serious, emotional, and thrilling than before.
Actress Sanchita Basu, who plays the character Sanvika Chauhan, shared insights about her role. “In the second season, Sanvika’s personality has evolved significantly. She is no longer the emotional girl she once was. Life experiences and betrayals in relationships have made her stronger. This time, she will face situations that require her to make tough decisions. Amidst the games of power, she constantly questions the true meaning of love, especially when betrayal and selfishness overshadow trust in relationships.”
Sanchita added, “What makes this season intriguing is that no character is entirely right or wrong. Each person makes decisions based on their circumstances and mindset. Every emotion depicted in the story has consequences. Whether it’s love, anger, ambition, or revenge, they all lead to significant outcomes. Viewers will witness moments where it becomes challenging to discern who is right and who is wrong.”
The trailer sets the story in Sitapur, where the race for power intensifies. Political rivalries, personal grudges, and the bitterness of past relationships propel the narrative forward. In this charged atmosphere, Kuldeep and Sanvika find themselves at odds. Once in love, circumstances have now driven them apart, and their confrontations will add depth to the storyline.
Actor Dhaval Thakur, returning as Kuldeep Kumar, also discussed his character. “Kuldeep will struggle with the burden of his past throughout this season. A mistake he made has changed everything, affecting his present and future. He is a person caught between emotions and responsibilities. On one hand, he holds memories of old relationships, while on the other, he faces societal, political, and situational expectations.”
Dhaval noted, “The trailer offers just a glimpse into his character’s journey. The actual story is much deeper. This time, Kuldeep’s journey will be incredibly challenging, allowing viewers to closely feel his internal struggles. While the scope of this season is broader, its greatest strength remains the emotions of its characters and the authenticity of their relationships.”
The series will stream on Jio Hotstar starting June 19.
