Tragic Murder of Minor in Coimbatore Sparks Outcry Over Womens Safety

Chennai, May 23: The tragic death of a minor girl in Coimbatore has led to a fierce verbal attack on the state government by DMK spokesperson TKS Elangovan. He questioned the measures taken by the government to ensure her safety.

Elangovan accused the state government of failing to protect women, despite its claims of prioritizing their safety.

When asked about the incident, he stated, “That girl was killed. What steps has this government taken to protect her? They can say anything when discussing DMK, but what will they say now?”

He further pointed out that while the opposition previously claimed that law and order deteriorated during the DMK’s tenure, such incidents are now occurring under the current government’s watch. He challenged the government to respond to these alarming events.

Elangovan also mentioned that just yesterday, a minister assured that women’s safety would be prioritized, yet incidents like this continue to happen. He expressed concern over the government’s accountability in light of these ongoing issues.
