Mumbai, May 30: A severe collision between a motorcycle and a private bus in Parbhani district, Maharashtra, has resulted in the deaths of four individuals. The accident occurred on the busy Parbhani-Pathri road near the Rahul Ginning area, close to the Andharwad Maruti Temple. Officials reported that the impact was so intense that the motorcycle was completely destroyed.
According to authorities, the bus belonging to Srinidhi Travels was en route from Parbhani to Pune when it collided with the motorcycle. All four riders on the motorcycle lost their lives in the incident. The deceased have been identified as Shubham Apparao Dahe (30), Vishnu Gore (28), Prahlad Ashokrao Kute (29), and Navnath Shamaraw Jadhav (38).
Local residents rushed to the scene after hearing the loud crash. Tensions escalated shortly after, as an agitated crowd reportedly vandalized the damaged bus. Police quickly arrived to manage the situation, preventing further chaos and restoring order.
Police Sub-Inspector Kishan Patange, along with Pramod Devkate and other officers, assisted local citizens in transporting the injured and deceased to the hospital. The accident temporarily disrupted traffic on the highway, but police acted swiftly to resume normal flow.
The collision caused significant traffic delays on the Parbhani-Pathri highway, affecting many travelers. Following the accident, authorities sent all bodies to the Manawat rural hospital for post-mortem examinations. A large crowd of family members and local residents gathered at the hospital, mourning the loss of four individuals from the same village, casting a pall of grief over Manawat and surrounding areas.
Police are proceeding with legal actions, and the bodies will be handed over to the families after the post-mortem. This road has seen a troubling number of accidents, with nine fatalities reported in the past month alone.
