Mumbai, May 23: A tragic road accident in Lakhimpur Kheri district of Uttar Pradesh claimed the lives of two young bikers on Saturday. The incident occurred when a motorcycle collided violently with the official vehicle of CO Mohammadi.
According to reports, CO Arun Kumar Singh was returning from a police station visit when a motorcycle suddenly crashed into his vehicle. The impact was so severe that the motorcycle was completely wrecked, and the front windshield of the CO’s vehicle shattered. The driver of the official car also sustained injuries.
The accident took place near Kandharapur village in the Mohammadi police jurisdiction, causing chaos in the area as a crowd quickly gathered at the scene. Two young men were riding the motorcycle and suffered critical injuries. Immediately after the collision, CO Arun Kumar Singh rushed both injured individuals to the hospital. Despite the doctors’ efforts, their condition was too grave, and both succumbed to their injuries during treatment.
Upon receiving news of the incident, police arrived at the scene and initiated an investigation. The bodies of the deceased have been taken for post-mortem examination, and efforts are underway to identify them. The families of the victims are in deep mourning following the tragedy.
Police officials stated that an inquiry is ongoing to determine the circumstances surrounding the accident. Initial reports indicate that the collision was head-on. Traffic was disrupted on the road for a short period following the incident.
