Students Welcome Uttar Pradesh Governments Dress Code Implementation in Schools and Colleges

Muzaffarnagar, May 23: Students, principals, and teachers have warmly welcomed the Uttar Pradesh government’s decision to implement a dress code in schools and colleges.

Principal Prerna Mittal of Shri Ram College shared her thoughts, stating that a dress code brings numerous benefits. “We have had a dress code in our college from the beginning. It creates uniformity among students and fosters a sense of equality. A dress code instills discipline in students,” she explained.

Mittal further emphasized that this rule is an excellent step by the government to maintain discipline and promote equality among students.

Dr. Vineet Kumar Sharma, Dean of Shri Ram College, echoed her sentiments, calling the government’s decision a commendable one. “The implementation of a dress code fosters a sense of equality among students, eliminating the distinctions of wealth and poverty. It also enhances the feeling of security. We have already enforced a dress code for the benefit of our students,” he stated.

Mamta Yadav, a student at Shri Ram College, noted that a dress code prevents feelings of discrimination among students. “I believe every school and college should have a dress code. The Yogi government has made a good decision by implementing this. It will enhance discipline in colleges and schools and eliminate distinctions based on wealth,” she said.

It is noteworthy that the Uttar Pradesh government is consistently taking significant steps to enhance the quality, discipline, and social harmony within the education system. In this context, Higher Education Minister Yogendra Upadhyay announced that, following the directives of Governor Anandiben Patel, adherence to a dress code will be mandatory in all universities and colleges across the state.
