Dhoulpur, August 30: A tragic incident occurred in Dhoulpur district, Rajasthan, on Sunday morning. Three sisters drowned while attempting to save their brother who had fallen into deep water. The incident resulted in the loss of all four lives.
The entire village is in shock following the deaths of four family members, and their relatives are in deep mourning.
This unfortunate event took place in the village of Doundh Birja, located in the Angai police station area of Dhoulpur district. The family had come near the village to visit the local deity, Hiramana Baba, at the temple.
According to reports, the three sisters had gone to the temple for prayers, while their brother had headed to a nearby pond to bathe. When the sisters noticed their brother was missing, they realized he was in the water and rushed to the pond, where they found him struggling to stay afloat. In an attempt to rescue him, all three sisters jumped into the pond.
Due to the high water level and depth of the pond, both the brother and the three sisters drowned.
As news of the incident spread, a large number of villagers gathered at the scene, prompting the police to be informed of this tragic event.
The deceased brother was identified as 23-year-old Bholu, also known as Ravi, from Nathua Pura.
Officials stated that Bholu was taking selfies near the pond when he suddenly slipped and fell into the deep water. Seeing him struggle, his sisters Manorama and Boto, along with their cousin Nisha, immediately jumped in to save him. Unfortunately, the water’s depth and current led to the drowning of all three women as well.
When the family realized that all four had fallen into the pond, they panicked.
With the help of local divers and the State Disaster Response Force, the police recovered the bodies from the pond. The bodies were then taken to the government hospital in Sarmathura, where post-mortems were conducted in the presence of family members.
After the post-mortem process was completed, the bodies were handed over to their families.
