Bikaner, June 15: A devastating accident occurred on the national highway in the Shri Dungargarh area of Bikaner, Rajasthan, where a car collided head-on with a truck. This horrific incident resulted in the deaths of six individuals, while one girl sustained serious injuries. The crash took place near the Sijral Hotel.
Witnesses reported that the impact was so severe that the car was completely mangled. Among the deceased are three men, one woman, and one girl. Another girl who was injured has been referred to Bikaner in critical condition after receiving initial treatment.
All seven occupants of the car were residents of Fatehabad in Haryana and belonged to the same family. The news of the accident sent shockwaves through the area. Emergency services, including the Apna Village Seva Samiti ambulance and toll ambulance personnel, quickly arrived on the scene to initiate rescue operations. All bodies were transported to the hospital, and the police have begun investigating the cause of the accident. The tragic loss of six lives has cast a pall of grief over the community.
Earlier, a severe road accident in Nagaur district resulted in three fatalities and five injuries. According to police, this incident occurred near the Luni River crossing when a van collided with a private bus. Eight family members were traveling in the van, heading to Pushkar for a holy bath on the occasion of Somvati Amavasya.
The van overturned after attempting to overtake, leading to the tragic deaths and injuries.
