Tragic Bus Accident in Rajasthan Claims Two Lives and Injures Several Pilgrims

Jaipur, August 16: A tragic bus accident occurred in the Pataliya Peer Dargah Valley of Rajasthan’s Jhalawar district, where an out-of-control bus struck a group of pilgrims. The incident resulted in the deaths of two individuals and left several others injured.

The accident took place late at night when the bus, filled with passengers, suddenly lost control and sped down from the upper part of the valley, hitting people standing by the roadside.

Two young men lost their lives in the incident, while six others sustained injuries. They were rushed to the district hospital for treatment.

According to the injured, the bus accelerated unexpectedly while descending from the valley and ran over the gathered pilgrims.

Authorities suspect that the accident may have been caused by brake failure, although the exact cause is still under investigation.

Speaking to reporters, one injured individual stated, “It was a private bus. The brakes might have failed, but I am not sure what exactly happened. The bus just ran over us.”

The deceased have been identified as Abdul Hamid and Rehan, both residents of the Ramganjmandi area in Kota district, Rajasthan.

Following the accident, the injured were promptly taken to the hospital, where they received medical care. One individual, reported to be in serious condition, has been referred to Kota for specialized treatment.

Many of the injured suffered severe injuries, including head and abdominal trauma. Police have launched an investigation into the incident and are looking into the circumstances that led to the bus losing control.

Officials are also examining the possibility of mechanical failure, such as brake failure, as a contributing factor to this tragic event. Further updates are awaited.
