AI Education to Transform Indias Future: PM Modis Initiative Welcomed by Education Board

Haridwar, August 16: The Chairman of the Indian Education Board, N.P. Singh, welcomed Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s announcement on Independence Day to train one crore youths in Artificial Intelligence (AI). He stated that AI is one of the fastest-growing technologies of the 21st century, bringing significant changes across social, political, and economic sectors.

In a conversation in Haridwar, Singh emphasized that equipping the youth with knowledge and skills related to AI and new technologies would be a crucial contribution to India. He mentioned that the Indian Education Board aims to integrate children with values and ethics alongside the technical skills and innovative thinking necessary for the 21st century.

Singh revealed that the Indian Education Board has partnered with an organization specializing in AI training. This initiative aims to introduce students to the fundamentals of Artificial Intelligence and computing from an early stage. Under the National Curriculum Framework, efforts are being made to provide information on AI assistants, computing, web design, and data analytics to students in grades 9 and 10 as part of vocational education.

He noted that this exposure would foster curiosity and innovation among children regarding new technologies. In the future, these children could become scientists and experts in the field of AI. Singh asserted that the dream of a developed India envisioned by the Prime Minister can only be realized if the country advances in technology alongside time.

On Independence Day, N.P. Singh extended his best wishes to the citizens of the country and paid tribute to the martyrs of the freedom struggle. He remarked that the free environment we enjoy today is a result of the struggles and sacrifices of freedom fighters. He urged that a true tribute to the martyrs would be to strengthen freedom for future generations. He emphasized that freedom is not limited to political independence; it will be complete only when every citizen participates in decision-making processes within economic and political institutions.

Singh expressed that every citizen should feel equally involved in nation-building. He called upon the citizens to rise above religion, region, and language for the nation’s interest. Just as people observe fasts and rituals according to their beliefs, all Indians should collectively pray for the strength, prosperity, and development of the country on national festivals like August 15 and January 26.

He concluded by urging individuals to pray to God according to their faith for India to become a powerful, empowered, and prosperous nation. He stated that this would be a meaningful step towards realizing the dreams of the freedom fighters and martyrs.
