Jaipur, May 30: Tiffany Trump, the daughter of former U.S. President Donald Trump, is set to arrive in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan, on Sunday with her husband, Michael Boulos, via a chartered flight. Tiffany began her private tour of India from New Delhi.
Due to the high-profile nature of this visit, stringent security measures have been implemented in Jaisalmer, especially given its proximity to the India-Pakistan border. Authorities are exercising heightened vigilance.
The couple is expected to stay at the luxurious Suryagarh Hotel during their visit. Tiffany plans to explore several renowned historical sites in Jaisalmer, including the famous Sonar Fort (Jaisalmer Fort), Patwon Ki Haveli, and Gadisar Lake. Their visit is anticipated to conclude on Monday.
On Friday, Tiffany and Michael visited the Swaminarayan Akshardham Temple, where Tiffany shared photos of the temple’s architecture on the social media platform X. The couple then traveled to Agra on Saturday to view the Taj Mahal, capturing various poses at the UNESCO World Heritage site.
In light of the visit, the district administration and police in Jaisalmer have ramped up security measures. As Jaisalmer is a sensitive border district, officials are closely monitoring security arrangements at tourist spots and related locations.
Sources indicate that intelligence agencies are coordinating with local authorities, while preparations for traffic regulation and route management are underway to ensure smooth transit.
Stakeholders in Jaisalmer’s tourism industry, including hotel operators and tour guides, are excited about the visit. Many in the tourism sector believe that the presence of a Trump family member could enhance Jaisalmer’s international profile and increase interest among foreign travelers. This is not the first visit by a member of the Trump family to Jaisalmer.
In November 2018, Ivanka Trump’s husband, Jared Kushner, who was then a senior advisor at the White House, visited the city to attend a high-profile wedding at the Suryagarh Hotel. At that time, Rajasthan police and U.S. security officials had implemented strict security measures around the venue.
