
Ranchi, March 6: In a swift response to a gunfire incident at a liquor store in the Angada police station area, authorities have arrested three suspects. The arrests occurred on Thursday following a chaotic shooting that took place on the night of March 3.
Witnesses reported that a group of assailants arrived unexpectedly at the liquor store and opened fire, discharging approximately five rounds. The sudden gunfire caused panic among those nearby, prompting people to flee in all directions. Fortunately, there were no casualties, but the incident created a climate of fear in the area.
Upon receiving reports of the shooting, police quickly arrived at the scene and initiated an investigation. During their inquiries, they reviewed CCTV footage from the store, which captured the entire event. This evidence enabled the police to identify the suspects and launch a manhunt.
According to police, the attack was orchestrated by Dev Singh Munda and his two accomplices. Gautam Kumar Rajwar, the officer in charge of the Angada police station, confirmed that the main suspect, Dev Singh Munda, was identified through the CCTV footage and other technical evidence. Following this, the police conducted a series of raids, leading to the arrest of all three suspects.
The officer stated that the arrested individuals are currently being interrogated to uncover the motive behind the incident and to identify any other individuals involved. Authorities are also investigating whether the shooting was related to extortion, personal disputes, or other reasons.
