Thamas World Television Premiere Set for March 21 on Sony Max

Mumbai, March 18: The craze for horror-comedy films has always resonated with audiences. Following the success of the Madoc Horror Universe, the film “Thama” has carved a special place in viewers’ hearts since its release. Continuing this trend, the makers have decided to premiere the film on television.

Madoc announced the world television premiere of “Thama” via their Instagram on Wednesday, sharing a clip from the film. They wrote, “A twist in romance, comedy in fear. Just 3 days until the night gets a little spooky. ‘Thama’ premieres for the first time on TV. Tune in on March 21 at 8 PM on Sony Max.”

Notably, this was the fifth film in the Madoc Horror Universe, surpassing the 100 crore mark at the box office. Directed by Aditya Sarpotdar, the film features several cameo roles, including appearances by Sathyaraj, Varun Dhawan, Abhishek Banerjee, and Nora Fatehi.

In “Thama,” Ayushmann Khurrana stars alongside Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Rashmika Mandanna in leading roles. Set in a fictional world, the film also features a crossover with Varun Dhawan’s film “Bhediya.” “Thama” is part of the Madoc Horror Comedy Universe, which previously introduced films like “Stree,” “Bhediya,” and “Munja.”

Released in 2025, “Thama” is a notable film in Madoc Films’ horror-comedy universe, inspired by the folklore of Betal. It tells a unique love story featuring Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna in key roles, hinting at further developments by the end of the film.

The plot revolves around Alok, a journalist portrayed by Ayushmann Khurrana, who falls in love with a mysterious woman named Tadka (Rashmika Mandanna) during a trip. Tadka belongs to the immortal Betal species. The story takes a thrilling turn when a dangerous Betal, played by Nawazuddin Siddiqui, re-emerges.
