NDA Government Promises Job Growth Amid Political Turmoil in Assam

Patna, March 18: Rajiv Ranjan Prasad, spokesperson for the Janata Dal (United), has sharply reacted to the ongoing political turmoil within the Congress party in Assam. He asserted that his party has long maintained that the Congress legislators have lost their grassroots support and their popularity among the public is steadily declining.

Prasad noted that there is significant public dissatisfaction with the decisions made by the Trinamool Congress (TMC) government and the behavior of its representatives. He described the attempts at “damage control” as futile, emphasizing that it has become evident that Mamata Banerjee has acknowledged her legislators’ lack of popularity among the people.

He further stated that the public is now seeking change and looking towards the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Prasad believes that if there is a coalition government at both the center and state levels, it will lead to increased job opportunities, the opening of factories, and overall prosperity for the people. He highlighted that many industries in West Bengal have been closed for a long time, resulting in a lack of employment, which is fueling the desire for change among the populace.

Targeting Congress, Prasad claimed that Rahul Gandhi has disappointed the nation. He pointed out that the expectations from the Leader of the Opposition have not been met, and Gandhi’s recent statements have not aligned with parliamentary decorum, suggesting he should engage in self-reflection.

Prasad accused Rahul Gandhi’s decisions and statements of creating “explosive” conditions within Congress. He mentioned that party leaders are engaging in cross-voting and openly violating party directives, making it increasingly difficult to maintain organizational unity.

However, he characterized this as an internal matter for Congress, stating that a strong Congress is essential for the strength of democracy, yet the party is gradually weakening.

Regarding the situation of Congress in Assam, he warned that if the trend of resignations continues, the party’s position could deteriorate further, putting its political future at risk.
