Uttar Pradesh Celebrates Nine Years of Development Under Yogi Adityanaths Leadership

Lucknow, March 18: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath marked the completion of nine years of unprecedented development and sustained prosperity in Uttar Pradesh during an event held at Lok Bhawan on Wednesday. He released a book titled ‘Nine Years of New Construction’ and highlighted the transformative changes in the state under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the visionary leadership of the double-engine government.

CM Yogi congratulated the people of Uttar Pradesh for the achievements over the past nine years, stating that these changes symbolize the collective strength of 250 million residents of the state.

He noted that with the onset of Navratri coinciding with Ramadan, there is a peaceful atmosphere for celebrations. “There is no fear or tension; all festivals are being celebrated with dignity,” he said, emphasizing the security in the state.

Reflecting on the situation before 2017, CM Yogi explained that Uttar Pradesh faced a crisis of identity despite its vast potential. Farmers were driven to despair, and skilled artisans were forced to migrate instead of becoming entrepreneurs. Youth faced challenges in identity and employment, with corruption affecting recruitment processes. The law and order situation left citizens feeling unsafe.

Today, CM Yogi asserted that the scenario has dramatically changed. The double-engine government has made significant strides in security, infrastructure, investment, employment, farmer welfare, women’s empowerment, and uplifting the poor. Welfare schemes have reached the marginalized and the most disadvantaged, improving governance in education, health, environment, and service sectors. Efforts are ongoing to honor the state’s faith, culture, and traditions, giving Uttar Pradesh a new identity on both national and global stages.

To disseminate these achievements, a nine-day program based on nine themes will commence with the arrival of Basant Navratri. The aim is to engage all sections of society—youth, farmers, laborers, women, and the underprivileged—in discussions about past achievements and future development visions. CM Yogi remarked that the number nine symbolizes completeness, and this initiative is a significant step toward that completeness.

On the occasion of completing nine years, the state government has proposed a budget of approximately ₹9.12 lakh crore for the upcoming financial year, which will further accelerate comprehensive and balanced development in Uttar Pradesh. This budget aims to strengthen the economy, enhance infrastructure, and create new employment opportunities. Uttar Pradesh is setting new standards in security, governance, and development, and these changes will become even more pronounced in the years to come.
