Patna, August 6: Former RJD MP Sadhu Yadav has made serious remarks regarding the recent by-election results in Bankipur, where Prashant Kishor of Jan Suraj emerged victorious. He criticized the RJD’s defeat and the behavior of Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav.
Sadhu Yadav stated that if Tejashwi Yadav had been serious about the Bankipur by-election, his candidate would not have finished in third place. Instead of securing 14,000 votes, they could have garnered 74,000. However, he believes Tejashwi is not serious and has chosen to leave the field for foreign travels.
In a conversation, Sadhu Yadav insisted that Prashant Kishor’s victory should not be seen as a personal triumph. The voters of Bankipur aimed to teach a lesson to both the BJP and the opposition by supporting Kishor. He emphasized that there is no need to compare Bankipur with the rest of Bihar. Kishor should be satisfied with this win and focus on his work.
Offering advice to Tejashwi Yadav, Sadhu warned that if he continues to be unserious, his party’s situation could worsen. The Bankipur by-election serves as a clear example. To strengthen the party, Tejashwi must engage more with the public, setting a goal to meet 2,000 people daily. If he maintains distance from the ground realities, he will face significant challenges.
Commenting on Tejashwi’s recent return from abroad just before the by-election, Sadhu noted that the situation might have been different had he not left. He supported Rohini Acharya’s statements, affirming their correctness. He advised Tejashwi to learn from this defeat; otherwise, he will encounter serious difficulties.
Sadhu Yadav also mentioned that there is a termite problem within the party that needs addressing. He referred to recent departures of some leaders from the RJD, including Mritunjay Tiwari, who left the party after making valid accusations against it.
