Tejashwi Yadav Criticizes Government as NEET Re-Exam Approaches

Patna, June 20: The NEET-UG re-examination is set to take place on June 21. In response, the Bihar government has made a significant decision to provide free travel for students on state buses. Meanwhile, Tejashwi Yadav, a leader of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), has criticized the central government, stating that the youth are the most affected under its rule.

In Patna, Yadav pointed out that the need for assistance from the Air Force and Indian Army to conduct a single examination reflects the government’s failure. He stated, “Millions of young people’s futures have been ruined and are still at risk. The youth are the most victimized in this government.”

He highlighted the difficulties faced by students, mentioning not only financial losses but also the lack of transportation options. “There is no proper train service in Bihar. During the Bihar Assembly elections, we promised that if the exam was canceled, the government would reimburse travel expenses with interest,” he added.

Recalling his tenure, Yadav noted, “In 17 months, we provided jobs to 500,000 youths. However, the government in Bihar was formed through dishonesty. Those responsible for the NEET issue should be held accountable, yet no action has been taken against any officials so far.”

He expressed his best wishes to all students for the re-NEET scheduled for Sunday. However, he urged those in power to take the paper leak issue seriously to prevent future inconveniences for students.

On the other hand, Bihar government minister Damodar Rawat stated that thousands of students from across Bihar will arrive at various examination centers for the NEET test on Sunday. The transport department and Bihar State Road Transport Corporation have made special arrangements. All government buses will offer free travel for students. They can travel to their desired examination centers without charge, provided they show their exam admit cards to the bus conductor to ensure that only genuine candidates benefit from this service.

He wished all candidates the best, saying, “We wish all students the best of luck in their exams. Our buses are available for you; travel without hesitation and perform well in your tests.”
