Patna, August 31: Bihar Minister Deepak Prakash has addressed various pressing issues, including deaths from toxic alcohol, reservation policies, comments on Dalit students by Rahul Gandhi, statements about Muslims by Mohan Bhagwat, and the current flood situation.
In response to Leader of the Opposition Tejashwi Yadav’s remarks about the end of reservation, Minister Prakash stated, “Where is the talk of ending reservation? He is unnecessarily politicizing this issue. Reservation is not being abolished at all. The opposition is creating confusion around it.”
He emphasized that the government is fully committed to reservation and accused the opposition of misleading the public with such statements. “No decision has been made regarding reservation, nor is there any plan to abolish it in the future,” he added.
Regarding the tragic incident where four people died from consuming poisonous alcohol, Prakash remarked, “This is a sad event resulting in loss of lives. The administration is investigating where the negligence occurred. Action will be taken against those responsible, and families will be compensated according to the rules.”
On Rahul Gandhi’s claims of atrocities against Dalits in North India, Prakash responded, “If Rahul Gandhi is referring to a specific location, he should clarify where this is happening. If such incidents are occurring, it is indeed unfortunate. The government is working to ensure that backward classes can integrate into the mainstream.”
Commenting on Mohan Bhagwat’s statement in the U.S. regarding Muslims in India, Prakash said, “Our country is known for its unity in diversity. There should be a spirit of inclusiveness among the people. If anyone is facing injustice, efforts should be made to ensure justice.”
