Raipur, June 18: A shocking incident occurred in Jashpur, Chhattisgarh, where a teenager climbed a BSNL mobile tower in distress over her boyfriend’s marriage. After several hours of negotiation, she was safely brought down.
The event took place in the village of Ganjiyadih, located in the Tumla police station area. Chaos erupted on Wednesday when the minor girl ascended the tower, remaining there for nearly three hours, which drew a large crowd of onlookers.
Reports indicate that the girl was upset about her alleged boyfriend’s wedding, prompting her to climb the mobile tower. Upon noticing her precarious situation, villagers immediately alerted the police by calling Dial-112.
A police team arrived promptly at the scene and began efforts to persuade the girl to come down, with the assistance of local residents. After prolonged discussions, the joint efforts of the police and villagers successfully led to her safe descent.
During the incident, many people gathered around the tower, creating a tense atmosphere. Once the girl was safely brought down, the crowd breathed a sigh of relief. This incident has sparked widespread discussion in the area, leaving many residents astonished.
Dhruvesh Jaiswal, the Sub-Divisional Officer of Police (SDOP) in Patthalgaon, confirmed that the police responded immediately upon receiving reports of the minor climbing the BSNL tower. He stated that the girl has been safely brought down with the help of local residents, and she is currently being counseled while the investigation into the matter continues.
