
Mumbai, October 5 (Daily Kiran) : Actress Tabu recently took to social media to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the romantic entertainer “Ninne Pelladatha,” co-starring Nagarjuna. On October 5, she shared heartfelt moments from the film, directed by Krishna Vamsi, on her official Instagram account.
In her post, Tabu expressed that “Ninne Pelladatha” is a story that has touched many hearts and has stood the test of time. She noted that the film’s songs continue to hold a special place in the hearts of music lovers even today.
Reflecting on three decades since its release, she wrote, “A romantic tale that has won hearts, a story that has passed the test of time, and songs that have enchanted generations.” The post celebrated the film’s timeless magic and its beautiful journey over the years.
Fans reminisced in the comments, with one saying, “Oh my God, it’s been 30 years, and I still love it,” while another remarked, “This is one of my all-time favorite movies.”
“Ninne Pelladatha,” written and directed by Krishna Vamsi, was produced by Nagarjuna under the Annapurna Studios banner. In the film, Nagarjuna portrayed the character Seenu, while Tabu played Mahalaxmi “Pandhu.” The cast also featured notable actors such as Chalapathi Rao, Giri Babu, Chandramohan, and Ravi Teja in significant roles.
The film not only enjoyed tremendous box office success but also garnered several awards, including the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Telugu in 1996. It was later dubbed in Tamil as “Unnaiye Kalyanam Pannikiren” and remade in Kannada as “Preethsod Thappa.”
On the technical side, the film’s cinematography was handled by Prasad, while editing was done by Shankar. The music, composed by Sandeep Chowta, marked his debut in Tollywood.
