Raebareli, March 8: Swami Avimukteshwaranand addressed a gathering in Raebareli on Sunday, emphasizing the widespread desire among Indians to grant cows the status of mothers and to criminalize their slaughter. He criticized the current government, stating that despite receiving votes on the promise of enacting laws for cow protection, the situation for cows remains dire.
He pointed out that beef exports continue unabated, surpassing even previous administrations. The swami urged the government to take decisive action after 78 years of inaction, stating that the voices of cow devotees across the country demand change. He accused the government of attempting to silence dissenting voices through intimidation and legal threats.
“This is not just the voice of one individual; it represents the culture and civilization of our nation,” he asserted. He challenged the notion of political sides, stating that true allies are those who stand with the suffering, while those who inflict pain are the opposition.
Swami Avimukteshwaranand questioned why the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), which claims to be a Hindu party, does not stand with Hindus facing oppression. He expressed disappointment that the party appears indifferent to the injustices faced by Hindus, indicating that those who perpetrate and remain silent during such atrocities are often the same.
