Sunidhi Chauhan Credits Tabassum for Career Breakthrough on KBC

Mumbai, August 22: Renowned singer Sunidhi Chauhan has made a significant mark in the entertainment industry. However, actress Tabassum played a crucial role in her early career. This revelation was made by Sunidhi herself during an episode of the quiz reality show ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati.’

In the upcoming episode of ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati-18,’ Sunidhi Chauhan will appear alongside famous lyricist Prasoon Joshi. She shared that it was Tabassum who brought her to Mumbai and introduced her to the legendary composer Kalyanji.

Reflecting on her journey, Sunidhi mentioned that she began singing as a passion at just four years old, gradually transforming it into her profession. “Singing was just a passion for me when I was four. I didn’t even realize when it became my profession,” she stated.

Sunidhi recalled the pivotal meeting that changed her life. “Tabassum ji came to a show where I was performing. She listened to me and said, ‘You should come to Mumbai,'” she shared.

Remembering her challenging early days, she noted that Tabassum invited her to her home, listened to her sing, and later took her to Kalyanji-Anandji, with whom she had a close relationship. Sunidhi reminisced, “Those initial days were filled with difficulties.”

She further revealed that Kalyanji listened to many of her songs. “Uncle Kalyanji listened to not just one song, but half an hour of many of my songs,” she said.

After listening to her, Kalyanji told her that she would not be returning to Delhi.

The episode also featured a special musical moment when Sunidhi requested Amitabh Bachchan to sing a few lines from ‘Rang Barse.’ Big B obliged, and as he sang, Sunidhi harmonized with him, turning the entire studio into a celebration.
