Sunetra Pawar Casts Vote in Baramati By-Election, Expresses Confidence in Public Support

Pune, April 23: Voting is underway in the Baramati Assembly constituency in Pune district, Maharashtra, for the crucial by-election. All eyes are on this significant seat, where the late leader Ajit Pawar’s wife, Sunetra Pawar, is contesting. The voting process is proceeding peacefully, with enthusiastic participation from voters.

Deputy Chief Minister Sunetra Pawar cast her vote at the Gangubai Kate District Council Primary School. After voting, she stated that this election is being fought by the people of Baramati themselves, who remember and support their “Ajit Dada” for his contributions. She expressed confidence that the citizens of Baramati would honor the development work with their mandate.

Sunetra Pawar further emphasized that the people of Baramati are well aware of the significant contributions Ajit Pawar has made to the region’s development over the years. She described this day as crucial and urged more people to participate in the voting process. According to her, this election is not just political but also emotional, as the public is voting as a tribute to their leader.

She noted that for the past 60 years, the people of Baramati have stood with the Pawar family. This election is particularly special as it is taking place in the absence of Pawar Sahib, and the public is taking it upon themselves to express their respect.

Meanwhile, Ajit Pawar’s son, Parth Pawar, also exercised his voting rights at a polling center. Long queues were observed at polling stations throughout the morning, reflecting the citizens’ awareness and commitment to democracy.

Additionally, Sunetra Pawar announced via her official social media platform X that senior Nationalist Congress Party leader Sharad Pawar would not be able to vote due to health issues. She mentioned that although he is not physically present, his blessings are always with them.

Sunetra Pawar praised Sharad Pawar’s contributions as inspirational, stating that under his guidance, the politics of development has progressed. She expressed her belief that the people of Baramati would vote based on development issues and continue to move in that direction. She also wished for Sharad Pawar’s swift recovery.
