Mumbai: Renowned filmmaker Subhash Ghai described his meeting with President Draupadi Murmu on Republic Day as one of the most inspiring moments of his life. Sharing the experience on social media, he reflected on the President’s remarkable journey and the powerful message it carries.
Subhash Ghai posted a photo of himself standing respectfully before President Murmu at the Rashtrapati Bhavan, calling the encounter deeply motivating. He wrote, “Meeting India’s honorable President Draupadi Murmu on Republic Day at Rashtrapati Bhavan was truly inspiring. Her story is so compelling that making a film about it would be an honour for any writer or filmmaker.”
He emphasized that President Murmu’s life serves as motivation for every child and young person who believes that great achievements are only for people from big cities or privileged backgrounds. “Her simplicity and determination show that with courage and dedication, anyone can overcome hardships,” he added.
On the same day, Subhash Ghai also met Prime Minister Narendra Modi, describing the interaction as a special experience. He shared on social media, “What stands out most about the Prime Minister is that when he meets someone, his eyes express more than his words. I felt truly honoured when he welcomed me by name with a smile at the Republic Day home reception at Rashtrapati Bhavan. That moment will remain memorable.”
He further praised PM Modi’s unique personality and charm, concluding his post with a heartfelt wish, “May God grant him a long, healthy, and happy life.”
