Swami Gopalacharya Praises Dhurandhar: The Revenge, Calls for More Truth-Revealing Films

Mumbai, March 21: Aditya Dhar’s recently released spy action thriller, ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge,’ has taken the box office by storm and captured the hearts of audiences. Upon its release, both viewers and critics showered it with praise. However, the film has also sparked discussions on some controversial issues. Many Indians were taken aback after watching the film, as it purportedly reveals the truths behind several historical and recent events in the country.

Recently, Swami Gopalacharya Maharaj, the president of the All India Saints Committee, lauded the film. In an interview, he described ‘Dhurandhar’ as a film that raises awareness in society. He emphasized the need for more such films to enlighten the Indian populace.

He stated, “If films like ‘Dhurandhar’ are bringing to light the efforts prevalent in society, it is indeed a positive development. Such movies provide a constructive message to society, allowing people to confront the truth.”

Swami Gopalacharya stressed that the film serves as a horror narrative, showcasing societal issues that need to be highlighted. He conveyed that the message should be clear: those in power, apart from the Sanatan Dharma, are somehow connected to elements that disrupt societal peace and aim to undermine the Sanatan Dharma.

He also referenced the demonetization policy, explaining that the current government implemented it to weaken the financial backbone of terrorist and anarchist groups. He remarked, “Saints have always supported the government. If anyone finds the film’s portrayal incorrect, they can approach the court. However, if these facts are proven true, the court will take no action. Cinema’s role is to unveil hidden truths so that society can become aware and make its own judgments on right and wrong.”

Swami Gopalacharya added that targeting the government is justified only when it fails to serve the nation and the Sanatan Dharma. He concluded, “If our government is establishing peace and pride through measures like the abrogation of Article 370 and demonetization, the support of saints will always be there. Films like this help highlight such issues and guide society towards a brighter future.”
