Students in Chennai Welcome PM Modi, Pledge to Build a Developed India

Chennai, October 11 (Daily Kiran) : Prime Minister Narendra Modi attended the golden jubilee celebration of Jayagopal Garodia Hindu School in Chennai on Sunday. The event sparked tremendous enthusiasm among students, who eagerly shared their thoughts before the Prime Minister’s arrival.

At the Chennai Trade Center, where the celebration took place, students held placards reading “We will make it happen, Modi Ji” and welcomed him with patriotic slogans.

One student expressed pride in attending the school, stating, “I feel very proud to study here because we have the opportunity to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi. I am confident that we will make our country proud and contribute to building a developed India.”

Another student added, “I am proud to be a part of Jayagopal Garodia Hindu School. Besides academics, our school excels in sports, arts, and other competitions. We are all very proud and happy that Prime Minister Modi visited our school.”

A female student shared her excitement about the occasion, saying, “We are very happy that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is attending our 50th golden jubilee celebration. We have been waiting for two years to celebrate this event with him. I have been studying here since LKG, and I feel very proud to be part of this school.”

Another student remarked, “Today, I am very happy that Prime Minister Modi is coming to meet us. We are all very fortunate to have this opportunity.” Students noted that their school places a strong emphasis on teaching Indian civilization and culture.

One student expressed gratitude, saying, “We learn about Indian civilization and culture here. We are very happy to receive the blessings of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, so I sincerely thank him.”

In his address, Prime Minister Modi also spoke about his affection for the Tamil language and culture. He reflected on how his travels across different parts of the country and interactions with its people have shaped his understanding of India. He mentioned being part of the ‘Unity Journey’ from Kanyakumari to Kashmir in the early 1990s, where he first met Girija Amma. Modi emphasized that these experiences allowed him to appreciate India’s diversity and fostered his love for the Tamil language and culture.
