Andhra Pradeshs N. Chandrababu Naidu Promises Triple Engine Government After Local Elections

Amaravati, October 11 (Daily Kiran) : Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu announced on Sunday that a “Triple Engine Government” will be established following the upcoming local body elections. Speaking at a virtual event in Nellore for the distribution of house ownership certificates, Naidu highlighted the existing “Double Engine Government” at both the state and central levels.

He urged citizens to elect leaders who embody honesty, integrity, and selflessness. “The votes you cast in the last election have transformed the lives of every individual, every family, and indeed the state itself,” he stated.

Naidu also revealed that the state government has implemented a direct election system for mayors and chairpersons in these municipal elections. He emphasized that he is serving with renewed vigor and enthusiasm as he embarks on his fourth term as Chief Minister.

Recalling a promise made before the elections, he mentioned that Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, and he committed to the state’s reconstruction. “In our 28 months in office, we have fulfilled that promise, ushering in a new era of welfare, development, and good governance,” he added. The distribution of permanent housing leases to poor families is a key aspect of this governance model.

Naidu noted that the state government is granting permanent rights to impoverished families who have constructed homes on government land and have lived there for decades, making their dream of homeownership a reality. He inaugurated the distribution of permanent housing ownership to 939 families on 22.31 acres in the Sarvepalli constituency of Nellore.

He revealed that approximately ₹600 crore worth of land has been allocated to the poor, with 701 of the beneficiaries being women, showcasing the government’s commitment to women’s empowerment. Naidu also disclosed that in Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada, and Mangalagiri, the government has granted land to 60,000 families, amounting to ₹52,000 crore.

The Chief Minister stated that the TDP-led coalition government aims to ensure security, dignity, and property ownership for the poor and middle class. He added that the government is providing tap connections to nearly every household at a cost of around ₹30,000 crore and is investing approximately ₹1.80 lakh crore in infrastructure in towns and villages.
